Food Swap Foodie is owned and operated by Trudy Stone a Culinary Nutritionist who is regularly seen on TV as a subject matter expert. Her mission is to illuminate the life-changing power of nutrition in managing stress and enhancing mood.

Through advocating for healthy food swaps, we simplify the journey towards better health and a happier life. Being a foodie, it is hard to control hunger or food cravings especially, when you want to control your body weight.

Together, we are not just swapping ingredients; we are swapping the narrative. We're rewriting the story of food, transforming it from a source of guilt to a source of empowerment, and celebrating both taste and well-being in every bite.

About Trudy

I'm a certified culinary nutritionist, author TV guest expert and creator of Food Swap Foodie Inc who hacked my mind and body to overcome an addiction to sugar and lose 30 lbs eight years ago.

I have had the honor of sharing my healthy living strategies on TV appearing on Cityline, Breakfast Television, CTV News, CBC News, CP24, YourMorning, and more.


And while that all sounds magical (which it is!), my journey to overcoming an addiction to sugar and achieving successful weight loss was no walk in the park.


In fact, when I first started my journey in September 2013, I KNEW I needed to make a change but I had NO idea where to start.


For years I'd turn to sugar whenever I was stressed, anxious, or frustrated. I used food to distract myself from pain. But food never released me from pain. In fact, eating sugar laden foods created more pain.


Fast forward a few months and I lost 30lbs in just over 3 months by finally overcoming my addiction to sugar and learning how to manage my sugar cravings.
